This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge required to manage the establishment, planning, promotion, finances, operations and personnel of a small business. Impact Training recognises that such people may have limited opportunities to attend formal training sessions therefore Impact provides you with the opportunity to obtain this qualification through distance learning and the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Current Competency (RCC). The first component of the RCC process is to undertake a self-assessment against the Units of Competency of the Diploma and to develop an Individual development Plan in conjunction with Impact’s facilitator. The qualification reflects the role of a small business manager who use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of small business context. They apply solutions to a range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others, and have responsibility for the output of others. Course entry requirements:There are no formal entry requirements to this program. However, it is usual for impending students to own or have ready access to a computer and a willingness to learn. It would be assumed you have competed Year 10 at school with sound literacy and numeracy skills. If you wish to discuss this matter further feel free to contact one of our course advisers. Course duration:This course can be undertaken completely by correspondence and includes self paced learning manuals, workbook, assignment tasks and assessments based on work place activities. The course usually takes 15 hrs a week for 30 weeks, however you can certainly work and complete it in a shorter period. You have up to 12 months to complete it in RPL:Past Experiences Count: Recognition of Prior Learning or Current Competency is available, just call today to enquire about the process and fees involved and discuss if you might be eligible. Basically, if you have any formal qualifications or skills gained through work experience or informal study that you believe cover the competencies of the modules and you can support or demonstrate these through evidence that you have attained you can be eligible to gain a credit for that module. Fee $795 When can I start:With the home study/correspondence option you can start immediately - you don't have to wait for terms or minimum class numbers. Fee:Home Study is only $1295 and includes all materials (comprehensive learners manual, business plan checklist, CD with a Business Plan Proforma and financial tables, list of relevant websites for small business), telephone and email and personal support as required.
