Provide Responsible Conduct of Gambling - RCG (SITHGAM006A)

RCG training provides hotel bar and club staff with the knowledge and awareness required to responsibly provide gambling services within liensed premises.

Course Content

This course is delivered by Impact Training and is fully approved by the Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority and provides the knowledge and skills required to identify the impact of problem gambling on the community and how to deal with the problems associated with excessive gambling and offer assistance and advice to gamblers and their families.

The course covers the following topics:

• Legislative framework
• Gambling guidelines
• Strategies to prevent gambling addiction

Course Purpose

This face to face training workshop session is a legal requirement for staff working or seeking employment in the gambling areas and related functions of license premises including hotels and clubs prior to commencing employment.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites for this course. Students must be 18 years of age.

Assessment

Impact Training offers a workshop style approach with a written/multiple choice assessment. This is competency based training, so we will ensure that you have a thorough understanding of RCG before you go home.

Award

On successful completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment - Provide Responsible Gambling Services (SITHGAM006A) as part of SIT20207 Certificate II in Hospitality and a NSW Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority (CLGCA) Certifcate to obtain a photo competency card.

One form of photo ID will be required to be shown on the day of the course. Suitable ID includes a Drivers Licence, Passport, NSW RTA photo ID card or Birth Card.
