Do I have to always do a course?No Impact Training always offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) for all of tits qualifications unless prohibited by individual state licensing authorities. Course ProgressIs there minimum participation in a course?Active participation in your course is a condition of your enrolment with us. Active participation is defined as: - submitting assignments, attending practical sessions, completing modules/units, sitting tests and exams, or making satisfactory progress in tutorial support. You should work steadily through your modules/units and contact a tutor if you are experiencing difficulties. Successful distance education students are self-motivated, organised and disciplined in regards to their studies. Is Distance Education Right for Me?Information coming soon. TraineeshipsWhat is a traineeship?Traineeships are government-funded programs of study for untrained worked. The trainees study for their nationally recognised qualifications through flexible work-based training programs. What is involved in a traineeship?The trainee continues to be employed as usual. The training and assessment for the course is completed during the trainee’s normal work hours. This is negotiated with you – the employer – and the program is designed around the company’s working environment. There are approximately eight contacts per year to monitor and support the trainee in their workplace, (more if required). The Wave Learning assessor will observe the trainee during work hours in order to assess the trainee's demonstration of practical competencies. Wave Learning supplies all learning materials and tasks. There are no additional costs. Who is eligible?To qualify for a traineeship, employees:
Who is involved?The Trainee – completes workplace training and assessment tasks and continues to work as usual for the same rate of pay. They are not required to attend any additional classes. The Employer – continues to employ the trainee and at specified intervals receives the incentive payments. The Registered Training Organisation – provides training and assessment to the trainee and issues the qualification upon completion. You will reduce staff turnover, as the trainees will be committed to completing their workplace learning programs. What are the financial arrangements?
The trainee pays nothing for their qualification. The trainee continues to be employed with unchanged conditions and wages. An enrolment fee of $414 is paid prior to the commencement of the traineeship. What traineeships are available?

By claiming RPL/RCC it could mean that you may be able to complete a course of study in less time, with minimal disruption to work and at a lower cost. How does the RPL/RCC Process Work?
What is Credit Transfer?A credit transfer is different from RPL/RCC. Credit transfer applies to clients who have completed part of their course or a similar course through another Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The Australian Recognition Framework Principles for National Recognition state that a RTO must accept and recognise the decisions and outcomes of any other RTO. If a client is applying for credit transfer and completing gap training to gain a qualification through Impact Training, students only pay for the gap trainin.
